  • The customer's name and address (and their VAT number for EU B2B)
  • A unique, sequential invoice number
  • The date of issue (and supply date if different)
  • A description of the goods or services
  • The net amount, the VAT rate and amount, and the total payable
  • For reverse-charge/EU supplies, a note such as "VAT reverse charge"

e-Invoicing in Ireland

Ireland does not currently mandate B2B e-invoicing or Peppol — electronic invoices are allowed where the recipient agrees, and public-sector bodies accept Peppol. As EU-wide structured e-invoicing (EN 16931) advances, it's wise to be ready: our generator already exports an EN 16931 / Peppol UBL e-invoice alongside the PDF. See the EU VAT invoice guide for cross-border rules.

How to create it

  1. Open the invoice generator
  2. Set the currency to EUR
  3. Add your business name, address (with Eircode) and IE VAT number
  4. Add the customer (and their VAT number for EU B2B)
  5. Add line items and set the correct VAT rate (23%, 13.5% or 9%)
  6. Download the PDF — and the e-invoice XML if you need it
