  • We provide the tool "as is." We try to keep it working, but stuff happens. No guarantees.
  • Don't be a jerk. No hacking, spamming, or illegal stuff.
  • You own your data. Your invoices are yours. We don't claim any rights to them.
  • Don't sue us. If something breaks or goes wrong, we're not liable. Use at your own risk.
  • We can change these terms. We'll tell you if we do (by updating this page).

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using FreeInvoicePDF.org (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, please don't use the Service. It's that simple.

Who can use this: Anyone 13 years or older. If you're under 18, get your parent's permission first. If you're representing a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.

Plain English Translation: By clicking around our site and creating invoices, you're agreeing to these rules. Don't like the rules? That's okay—there are other invoice tools out there. We're not forcing you to use ours.

2. What FreeInvoicePDF.org Is (And Isn't)

What We Provide

FreeInvoicePDF.org is a free, browser-based invoice generator. We provide:

  • A web interface to create professional invoices
  • PDF generation and export functionality
  • Invoice templates and customization options
  • Multi-currency support
  • Client-side data storage (your browser's localStorage)

What We DON'T Provide

We are not:

  • A payment processor: We don't handle money, process payments, or collect payments on your behalf
  • An accounting system: We generate invoices but don't track receivables, manage books, or file taxes
  • A lawyer or accountant: We don't provide legal or financial advice
  • A cloud storage service: We don't back up your invoices (they're stored locally in your browser)
  • A guarantee of payment: Creating an invoice doesn't mean your client will pay you (we wish it did!)

Important: You are responsible for ensuring your invoices comply with local tax laws, business regulations, and legal requirements in your jurisdiction. FreeInvoicePDF.org generates documents based on the information YOU provide—we don't validate legal compliance.

3. Account & Registration

Good news: There are no accounts! You don't need to register, sign up, or provide any personal information to use FreeInvoicePDF.org.

Your invoice data is stored locally in your browser's localStorage. We don't have access to it, we don't store it on our servers, and we can't recover it if you lose it.

This Means:

  • No password recovery: There's no account, so there's no password to recover
  • No cloud sync: Invoices on your laptop don't appear on your phone (unless you use browser sync features)
  • You're responsible for backups: Export and save your invoices regularly if you need permanent copies

4. User Responsibilities (Don't Be a Jerk)

You agree to use FreeInvoicePDF.org responsibly and legally. Here's what that means:

  • Create legitimate invoices for real work or products
  • Use accurate information for your business and clients
  • Comply with your local tax and business laws
  • Export and back up your invoices regularly
  • Respect our server resources (don't spam requests)
  • Report bugs or security issues to us

❌ DON'T

  • Create fraudulent invoices or fake documents
  • Use the Service for money laundering or illegal activities
  • Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or break our infrastructure
  • Overload our servers with automated requests or scraping
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
  • Use the Service to spam, phish, or scam people

Consequences

If we detect abuse (DDOS attacks, fraud attempts, etc.), we reserve the right to:

  • Temporarily or permanently block your IP address
  • Report illegal activity to law enforcement
  • Take whatever action is necessary to protect our Service and users

But honestly: If you're using this to invoice clients for your freelance work, you have nothing to worry about. These rules are for the 0.01% of bad actors, not the 99.99% of good people.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

Your Content (Your Invoices)

You own your invoices. Period. Full stop.

Any content you create using FreeInvoicePDF.org—including text, amounts, client details, logos, custom branding—is 100% yours. We claim zero ownership, rights, or licenses to your invoice content.

You can use, modify, share, sell, print, frame, or do whatever you want with your invoices. They're yours.

Our Content (The Tool Itself)

The FreeInvoicePDF.org website, software, code, design, templates, and features are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may:

  • Use the Service to create invoices
  • Share links to FreeInvoicePDF.org
  • Recommend our tool to others

You may NOT:

  • Copy our source code and launch a competing service (not cool, dude)
  • Remove our branding and claim you built it
  • Sell access to FreeInvoicePDF.org or repackage it as your own product

Open Source Note: We may release portions of our code as open source in the future. If/when we do, those portions will be governed by their own license (likely MIT). Until then, the code is proprietary.

6. Service Availability & Support

Uptime (We Try Our Best)

We strive to keep FreeInvoicePDF.org online 24/7/365. However, we're a small team running on modest infrastructure, so stuff happens:

  • Maintenance: We may take the site down briefly for updates or fixes
  • Server issues: Hosting providers have outages; we can't control that
  • Traffic spikes: If we go viral, the server might struggle (good problem to have!)

No Uptime Guarantee: We don't promise 99.9% uptime or offer SLAs (Service Level Agreements). It's free—you get what you pay for, which is honestly still a pretty good deal.

Support (Community-Driven)

We don't have a support team (again, it's free). If you have issues:

  • Check our FAQ section
  • Email us at [email protected] (we'll try to help, but no promises on response time)
  • Post in our community forum (if/when we create one)

Feature Requests: We LOVE feature requests! Email us your ideas. If it's good and feasible, we'll probably build it. We've implemented dozens of user-suggested features so far.

7. Disclaimers & Limitations of Liability

This is the legal-heavy section, but we'll keep it readable.

Service Provided "AS IS"

FreeInvoicePDF.org is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Functionality: We don't guarantee the Service will always work perfectly or be error-free
  • Accuracy: We don't warrant that calculations, formatting, or outputs are 100% accurate (double-check your invoices!)
  • Security: While we use HTTPS and best practices, we can't guarantee absolute security
  • Compatibility: The Service may not work on all browsers or devices

Limitation of Liability

In plain English: If something goes wrong with FreeInvoicePDF.org, you can't sue us for damages.

In legal terms: To the maximum extent permitted by law, FreeInvoicePDF.org and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of revenue or profit
  • Loss of data (remember: your invoices are stored locally—back them up!)
  • Business interruption
  • Errors in invoice calculations or formatting
  • Unpaid invoices from your clients (that's between you and them)

Translation: If you invoice a client for $10,000, they don't pay, and you want to blame our invoice template for making you look unprofessional, we're not liable. (Though honestly, our templates are pretty slick—the non-payment is probably not our fault.)

Maximum Liability: $0

Since you pay us nothing, our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the Service is limited to $0.00.

Why this is fair: You're using a free tool. We're not charging you. We can't be held financially responsible for a free service we're providing out of goodwill.

8. Indemnification (Don't Drag Us Into Your Legal Issues)

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FreeInvoicePDF.org, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your invoices and business transactions
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any laws or regulations
  • Any dispute between you and your clients

Example: If you create a fake invoice for $50,000, your "client" sues you for fraud, and they try to drag FreeInvoicePDF.org into the lawsuit, you agree to cover our legal costs and take full responsibility. (Again, don't create fake invoices. That's illegal and not what this tool is for.)

9. Changes to the Service

We reserve the right to:

  • Add features: New templates, currencies, customization options (yay!)
  • Remove features: If something breaks or becomes unsustainable (we'll try to avoid this)
  • Change the design: Improve UX, update branding, modernize the look
  • Introduce limitations: E.g., rate limiting if someone is abusing the service

Will we tell you? Major changes will be announced on the homepage or via a notice banner. Minor tweaks happen continuously without notice.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do:

  • We'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top
  • We'll post a notice on the homepage for 30 days (for major changes)
  • Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the new Terms

We won't: Make retroactive changes that harm you, introduce sneaky fees, or pull a bait-and-switch. That's not our style.

11. Termination

You Can Leave Anytime

Don't like FreeInvoicePDF.org? You're free to stop using it at any time. No cancellation process, no exit interview, no guilt trips. Just close the tab and move on. ✌️

We Can Terminate Your Access

If you violate these Terms (fraud, hacking, abuse), we reserve the right to:

  • Block your IP address
  • Ban you from accessing the Service
  • Report illegal activity to authorities

But realistically: If you're a normal person creating normal invoices, this will never happen to you.

12. Third-Party Services

FreeInvoicePDF.org uses some third-party services:

  • Google AdSense: For ads (governed by Google's Terms)
  • Cloudflare: For CDN and DDoS protection (governed by Cloudflare's Terms)
  • Hetzner: For hosting (governed by Hetzner's Terms)
  • TikTok: freeinvoicepdf.org may allow you to sign in via TikTok (TikTok Login Kit); if you use this option, you authorize TikTok to share basic profile information (including open_id, display_name, and avatar_url) with freeinvoicepdf.org for account authentication and linking.

We're not responsible for these third parties' actions, privacy practices, or service availability. By using FreeInvoicePDF.org, you also agree to their respective terms.

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

Jurisdiction: These Terms are governed by the laws of Palestine (West Bank), where our primary operator is based.

Disputes: If you have a legal issue with us (we hope you don't!), let's try to resolve it amicably first. Email us at [email protected] and we'll talk like adults.

If that fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the Palestinian Arbitration Center, conducted in English.

Class Action Waiver: You agree to resolve disputes individually, not as part of a class action lawsuit. (Again, it's a free tool—class action lawsuits don't really make sense here.)

14. Miscellaneous (The Boring But Necessary Stuff)

Severability

If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.

No Waiver

If we don't enforce a rule once, it doesn't mean we've waived our right to enforce it later.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and FreeInvoicePDF.org.

Assignment

You can't transfer your rights under these Terms to someone else. We can (e.g., if we sell the business), but we'll notify you if we do.
